Make any day feel like a Friday!
Have you ever had a week where time seemed to move in slow motion and all you can think to yourself is ‘Is it Friday yet?’
When you feel like this..it’s time for you to make time for YOU and I am going to show you how. Are you ready for it?..... Apply a face mask. What a face mask you say? Yes ..apply a face mask and I will tell you why. Applying a face mask slows you down and the time it takes for the mask to dry, gives you just about the right amount of time to breathe, relax and recoup before you have to get back in the game. Whenever I apply a face mask at home, my kids know that 'mommy needs time to dry' and there you have it, an almost guaranteed 15-20 minutes of much needed me time. I say almost because you never know with kids.
One of my favorite things to do is make my own face masks. I make them myself because I am a bit of a control freak (just kidding) it’s because I really like the peace of mind of knowing that my skin is going to reap the benefits of all the good stuff that the mask ingredients have to offer.
Here is one of my favorite recipes for you to try. It literally takes less than 5 minutes to make and leaves your skin glowing, feeling refreshed and your mind rested.
Lavender essential oil is packed with antioxidants which help to protect your skin from free radicals and helping to reduce wrinkles. If you are allergic to essential oils or fragrance-free, don’t add the essential oil and you will still reap all the benefits this mask has to offer.
Turmeric also has great anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties and can calm your skin while giving it a youthful glow
Raw Honey helps decrease scars and also has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties while coconut oil hydrates and moisturizes leaving your skin feeling supple.
This recipe makes enough for one application.
